We are pleased to announce that as of Monday 29th June our teaching studios are re-opening. We are happy to take new enquiries for Bass, Drums, Guitar and Keyboard lessons. However, to ensure the safety of teachers and students we will initially be operating a significantly reduced timetable so spaces for in-person lessons are more limited than normal. Existing students should contact their individual teacher directly to find out their latest plans. Not all teachers are able to return to in-person lessons at this time and those that are will have reduced availability.
Many students have been having online lessons throughout the lockdown and for those where this is working well we would encourage them to continue for now. If you are a potential new student please get in touch and we will do our best to get you hooked up with a teacher asap. In-person lessons are limited but we do have some availability, online lessons have good availability for all instruments.
For the first few weeks back we will only be operating one of our six teaching rooms at any one time. We will only have one teacher and one student (with one accompanying adult if appropriate for a child student) in the building at a time. To enable this to happen teachers will timetable a minimum 5 minute break between lessons to allow one student to leave before the next enters the building.
We will initially only be using rooms where it is possible for the teacher and student to sit 2m apart. We will have open windows and doors to ensure rooms are well ventilated. We will supply hand-sanitiser which must be used when each student arrives. Teachers will clean commonly touched surfaces such as door handles and hand rails throughout the day. All being well we will be able to slowly increase capacity throughout the Summer to allow us to return to something close to normal by September.
