COVID-19 Update

As more of retail starts to gradually open up we wanted to update you on our plans for the coming few weeks.

Firstly, we want to say thank you to everyone who has purchased anything from us online over the last few months. We are incredibly grateful that we’ve been able to keep things ticking along while our bricks and mortar shop has been closed. Our online business continues to operate a normal service (thank you couriers/posties!) and we are currently offering free shipping on all orders.

With regards to the shop, for the week commencing Monday 15th June you can make an appointment via the web site (see below) if you have a specific need to come in to see us (or via phone, email or social media) but we will remain closed to passing trade while we prepare for reopening.

From Monday 22nd June we will be open to passing trade and back to our normal opening hours. Customers will only be able to enter one at a time (or with one other person if shopping together) and will only have access to our till area. We will be happy to help and provide advice and will fetch your products for you. Payment will be by card only, preferably contactless if possible. You can also place pre-paid click and collect orders through this website and pick them up in person.

Music shops do have some specific challenges when it comes to items like instruments where demoing alternatives is an enjoyable part of the process. We still want to make this possible but for the safety of all customers and staff this will have to be in a controlled way. Therefore, if you want to demo products you will need to book an appointment to be let into the main areas of the shop. You need to call/email ahead to do this or you can book your own slot through this website. 

We will try to make your visit as close to normal as possible if you make an appointment. We will accompany you and serve you, but will have to maintain a 2m distance at all times. We will clean any commonly touched areas (like doors/handrails) before and after your visit. Any demoed items that are not purchased will be carefully cleaned and taken off sale for 48 hours.

We hope this all sounds sensible based on current guidance, we will obviously keep this way of working under constant review as guidance changes. 

We are looking forward to seeing some friendly faces as things move towards this strange new normal!
