The NeuSonic combines Ludwig's proprietary maple/cherry hybrid shell with premium Evans drumheads, creating a shell that's adaptable to any situation. Each drum is hand-crafted in the Monroe, North Carolina, USA factory.

Shell
The NeuSonic features a hybrid 6-ply shell comprising of a 3-ply maple exterior and a 3-ply cherry interior.

Bearing Edge
Each precisely cut bearing edge is cut to a 45° angle with a 1/16" back cut that helps deliver optimal sustain over a wide tuning range.

Evans Drum Heads
The NeuSonic is the first Ludwig drum set to feature Evans USA drum heads. Toms feature the single ply G1 coated for the batter heads and G1 clear on the resonant side. Bass drums have EQ4 clear heads on the batter and EQ3 on the reso.
