Ludwig USA Classic Drum Kits

Classic Maple is formulated for optimum resonance. Featuring a 7-ply, 6mm shell that comprises a three-ply core that is inserted between inner and outer 2-ply panels using their proprietary moulding process. This unique process has been used by Ludwig since the late '60s, using an adhesive that cures evenly over the entire surface of the shell.

The maple shell creates a bright attack with maximum sustain making it extremely versatile in any performance setting. The perfect "all-purpose" drum set for today's professional drummers.

Each bearing edge features a 45° angle that is hand-sanded to assure a smooth, even and flat surface for easy head seating and a wide tuning range.

The Classic Oak shell has the same 3-ply, 2.4mm maple core as the Classic Maple shell, only this time both the inner and outer plies are American Red Oak. These individual plies create a slightly thicker shell at 6.5mm but with only 5-plies overall.

The oak helps to define a more aggressive attack with darker tones and a slightly quicker decay. The perfect shell where volume, attack and control are of the utmost priority.

The oak shell features a dual 45° bearing edge for added focus and attack.

Each Classic Series shell is hand-built by Ludwig's highly skilled craftsmen in their drum factory in Monroe, North Carolina, USA. The techniques developed in 100 years of drum manufacture is the principal ingredient in creating the "Ludwig Sound"

Ludwig offer three standard lug designs within the Legacy range.

• Classic Large Lug (65mm)
• Mech Lug* (Full Length) Not available on 20" deep bass drums

Both Atlas & Rocker series tom arms are available to mount rack toms directly above the bass drum.

Bass drums come undrilled as standard. Each mounting option has an additional cost. There is also an option to just have the mounting plate.

• Atlas, Triad or Classic mounts can be fitted to rack toms*
• Vibrabands can be fitted with either the Classic or Triad mounts*

Bass drum hoops are available in black, natural or colour matched. With or without an inlay*.

Elite series telescopic spurs are fitted as standard (top left). Options include (l to r) curved, folding and Atlas anchor*.
