Description
Description
If you love drums, then this stunning Brady Jarrah Block 12"x7" snare drum needs no introduction. These hand-made drums from Chris Brady's Australian custom shop have long since been regarded amongst the best drums in the world and since the company sadly ceased production back in 2015, they've become even more collectable.
This particular drum features the original gold rectangular badge which dates it somewhere between 1990-1992 making it extremely rare. Made from solid Jarrah blocks to form a 12"x7" shell, the drum is both loud and aggressive with a quick decay that is synonymous with block and stave shells, but also remarkably sensitive and musical.
The drum is in really good condition for its age. There's a few small marks on the shell and hardware but these are only noticeable on closer inspection. The rubber grommets on the pipe lugs have degraded to the point where we decided not to remove them when preparing the drum. If left in place, I see no reason why this would create an issue. The adjustable butt plate side of the snare strainer has a slightly loose action but is still fully functional and again, shouldn't cause any issues. They can be replaced in the future if necessary. The Gladstone style throw-off is solid and works perfectly. The drum has been fitted with a brand new Remo Ambassador coated batter head and Ambassador snare side as well as a new set of Puresound Custom snare wires.
This is a pre-owned snare drum and may show signs of use. We try to capture the general condition in the photos, but if you require any additional information, have any questions or would like to request any further photos, just drop us an email at online@rattleanddrum.com and we'll be happy to help!
